Grant Napear: Back here in Sacramento in 24 night, the Charlotte Bobcats get the lead at halftime, 56-54. Of course you see 24 Monday nights on FOX 40, it is a phenomenal show and Annie Wersching who is on the cast of 24 is nice enough to join us. Now I’ve gotta ask you, normally when you’re in front of the camera you got bombs going off and terrorists and cars crashing – you gonna be able to get through this segment okay? Is it too calm for ya?
Annie Wersching: I think it’s okay. I was more worried about getting trampled courtside earlier with the balls coming our way. But I handled it alright.
Grant Napear: I think it’s great that you’re in Sacramento. I know you used to watch the Kings on a regular basis when they were good and battling the Lakers right?
Annie Wersching: Yeah, I had just moved to LA and just felt like being a rebel and cheering against the Lakers. It was Mike Bibby, I was all about it.
Grant Napear: Here is your little bio here – how much fun is it to be on this show, one of the very top shows on all of television?
Annie Wersching: It’s absolutely amazing. I was a huge fan of the show myself. I had seen every episode of every season since the very very beginning. It’s such an iconic show, it’s a dream role. I love Agent Walker so much. It’s been really fun.
Grant Napear: It was great to see you out here earlier. I was out here watching your question and answer session with all the fans out there, that had to be fun for ya.
Annie Wersching: Yeah, really fun. 24 fans are great, they’re really into it and they know everything about every season so those are fun fans to have.
Grant Napear: Alright, let’s take a little peek at a scene from a previous show right here 24 [clip of Renee Walker cutting Ziya's thumb plays]. That’s great. Now I wanna ask you about Kiefer Sutherland in a minute. But here’s what I’m most amazed about with this show. The writers of this show, the ability week after week, year after year, literally to keep the audience on the edge of their seat waiting for the next weeks episode. To me that’s amazing.
Annie Wersching: Yeah, I do not envy their job at all. *laughs* To come up with something new, new bad guys how many times a season? And season after season. They’re great.
Grant Napear: What about Kiefer, good ol’ Jack Bauer, what’s it like working with him?
Annie Wersching: It’s amazing. Like I said, I was a huge fan of the show so… It’s ridiculous that all my scenes are mostly with him. I’ve learned so much. And we have a lot of fun!
Grant Napear: Well it’s awesome. Again, that show is Monday nights on FOX40. If you haven’t seen it, trust me. Cause I love this show. I have every single series on DVD. Watch!
Annie Wersching: Now I won’t have to cut your thumb off!
Grant Napear: *laughs* watch the show, it’s great! It’s a pleasure meeting you in person, thank you very much. It’s a pleasure.
Annie Wersching: Thank you. Thanks for having me.
Grant Napear: Alright, Annie Wersching from the cast of 24.
