Who knew getting buried alive could be so much fun?
When Annie Wersching joined the cast of Fox’s 24 (tonight at 9 on WFXT, Ch. 25) as FBI agent Renee Walker, she was prepared.
The St. Louis native has watched the drama since Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) saved the world for the first time. Wersching was happy to be a part of the show’s distinctive action sequences – including the recent one that found Jack leaving Renee for dead in a shallow grave.
“I took to the scenes pretty easily. I was a dancer, so it’s kind of like choreography. I’m very gung ho with these sorts of things, so I was all for it. It was really fun,” she said. “For every single thing on this show that I got to do that was extreme like that – and is something that I will hopefully never do or experience in my real life – I was so excited.”
’24′ Agent Doesn’t Mind Being Buried At Work
Renee Walker’s suit designed by Elie Tahari
The Style Insider blog has done some digging into Renee Walker’s suit and have found out it’s designed by Elie Tahari.
We want to know about that crisp, understated, stylish suit she has been wearing for the first four hours of the show. It’s nicely tailored, with a slick hip-grazing black jacket and matching low-slung pants that flare a bit at the hem. Underneath it is a Brooks Brothers-y striped white shirt. We’re assuming she’s doing all this damage in cute high heels, too.
The excellent part is that she has managed to run around, shoot people, torture a thuggish injured evil-doer, get caught, nearly get killed and then get buried alive — all in this great suit. A tour de force!
Unfortunately, despite several requests, the media relations fellows at Fox have chosen to remain silent about the whole outfit (we believe it’s some kind of high-level secret). Thus, we can’t shed any more light. And now that she’s been rescued from a horrible death, she conveniently found a T-shirt and leather jacket in her size to wear.
Bummer.
Fans will be pleased that her distinctively freckled face is still perfectly made-up, which is pretty good for having been shot and covered in plastic and dirt.
(Editor’s Note: The Fox fellows decided to come clean — and we didn’t even torture them — and let us know that Agent Walker’s suit is by Elie Tahari).
What Do You Think, Jack?
Jack Bauer asks Renee Walker if she’s okay to which she responds: “What do you think, Jack? You shot me and buried me alive.”
Renee Resurrected Faster than Jesus
Bill Buchanan and Chloe O’Brian rush to the abandoned construction site and dig up Renee Walker just in time to save her from suffocation. She is injected with adrenaline and revived.

Interview Transcript
Khorbi Ghosh: I love your character on 24, you’re such a great addition. I think everybody feels the same way. It was fun today to hear Kiefer say that you turn him on when you’re doing your fight scenes.
Annie Wersching: I know! *laughs* Little did I know.
Khorbi Ghosh: Did you feel that way too about Jack Bauer?
Annie Wersching: I’m a huge fan of the show, I’ve seen every episode, so even just the fact that I was having scenes with Jack Bauer… I got used to it eventually but yeah, it was a bit exciting.
Khorbi Ghosh: Yeah, yeah. It was a nice little turn in yesterdays episode or Mondays episode, to see maybe you learned a little bit from Jack. You’re stretching the rules a little bit, bending the rules.
Annie Wersching: Yep, yeah. Against my better judgment. I’m definitely conflicted about it. But I’m so horrified by the fact that he betrayed me after I vouched for him and stuck up for him to Larry, that I have to find him. And that was the way I had to do it.
Khorbi Ghosh: Will we see more of her going down that slippery slope perhaps?
Annie Wersching: It’s definitely her struggle for the season. And his as well, they have a lot of dialogue about it. [Renee] definitely looked to him and talked to him. We have a lot of conversation about it, which is very very interesting for this show, to actually talk about it.
Khorbi Ghosh: Right, right. They were talking about that today. How long will it be before the two of you hook back up again, you’re in the same scenes again together?
Annie Wersching: The next episode.
Khorbi Ghosh: Will it take long for her to forgive him and get his trust? For her to get her trust back?
Annie Wersching: Well.. It takes a little bit. It takes a little bit.
Khorbi Ghosh: Can you tell me, is this something you see doing next year, the year after? I know on 24 you never know, but..
Annie Wersching: Yeah, you know, it’s 24 so who knows? I would be honored to continue on the show. But then again we don’t know how it ends this season. I mean, I do, but *laughs*.
Khorbi Ghosh: Can you give me any little tidbit? Any little clue, teaser?
Annie Wersching: Umm, gosh. I need a topic, a question *laughs*
Khorbi Ghosh: Who you might be involved with, who’s gonna come into your world?
Annie Wersching: Let’s see… It’s a lot of Jack! *laughs* There definitely becomes a very interesting triangle between Larry (Agent Moss, Jeffrey Nordling’s character) and Jack and me, the three of us. Scenes where the three of us are out standing in front of the Capitol Building having a big scene where we’re arguing. Just really really great scenes and character.
Khorbi Ghosh: It seems like there might be a little tension between you and Agent Moss…
Annie Wersching: Yeah, absolutely. There’s definitely history there and *stops herself*… Yeah. *smiles*
Khorbi Ghosh: Ooh a history.
Annie Wersching: There’s a history.
Khorbi Ghosh: We gonna learn a little more about that? Or..
Annie Wersching: Eventually. They kinda keep that under wraps a little bit. But yes, eventually it’s addressed.
Khorbi Ghosh: Awesome. I look forward to seeing it! Thank you.
Annie Wersching: Yay, thank you so much!

Jack Bauer Shoots Renee Walker, Buries Her Alive
Renee Walker cements her place in 24 history by becoming one of the very few characters to receive a silent clock. Amazingly enough, this was only her second week on the show AND she survived. A true badass.
Sorry I Couldn’t Protect You, Sir
Renee Walker apologizes to Sangalan Prime Minister Ule Matobo for not being able to protect him. Nichols then calls Emerson and gives an order to kill Renee and dump her body at an abandoned construction site.
Renee Walker Captured by Litvak
Litvak finds Renee Walker and turns her over to his boss, David Emerson. Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida (secretly undercover) both tell Emerson not to kill her.
