Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann has revealed that Annie Wersching is part of the cast of their newest upcoming epic “Last of Us”, currently scheduled for release in late 2012 or early 2013. She will be providing both voice acting and motion capture for the highly-anticipated title.

Alright, Naughty Dog fans, go follow @Wersching, who kicked all sorts of ass this week as the newest member of The Last of Us family.

Annie joins two other voice actors, Troy Baker as Joel and Ashley Johnson as Ellie, both who lavished their new co-star with praise via Twitter. Baker tweeted “Wersching is so good it hurts my face. Amazing job,” while Ashley Johnson said “Wersching is pretty much one of my favorite actors ever.”

The Last of Us is currently under development by the very same creative team Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a game which has received over 200 Game of the Year awards and sold over five million copies. More details regarding Last of Us will likely be revealed at E3 2012 in early June, but for now you can pre-order the game at Amazon.
