Surgeon: Well, we need to contact her next of kin. Can you help us with that? Do you know where her parents live? Are they alive?
Jack Bauer: I don’t know.
Surgeon: Sir, are you gonna be alright? (Jack Bauer walks out of room)
Nurse: (Hands Jack Bauer clothing and boots) I don’t know if these will fit. I got them from an intern.
Jack Bauer: Thank you. (Sits down in chair and briefly sobs)

I was not prepared for this moment. Thought episode 17 would be the last we see of her. Then they hit us with this emotional scene right at the start of the episode! Very sad
What kills me the most about this scene is the heart-breaking fact that she was ripped away from him before he really got the chance to know everything about her, and you can tell that he desperately wanted to… He was heart-broken having to say that he wasn’t her husband and didn’t know if her parents were even alive… :’(

@ Emma, you hit the nail right on the head. The whole point of that dialogue between the doctor and jack was just to stress to the audience how Jack and Renee had so much going for them and so much left to live for but they didnt get a chance

Sorry, I can’t bring myself to watch this scene. I stopped watching 24 at the end of last week’s episode. That was the end of 24 for me. The ineptness of the writers and producers of this show does not deserve any more of my time or emotions.
Well I have not stopped watching it!! I was bout to but 24 is such a great show but I am devistated about Renee! Wat is wrong with the 24 writers!! They r going loose so many viewers!!

Oh my god! I’m only 13 but am totally hooked on 24. I loved Renee, she was my fav-other-than-jack-character. I’m not going 2 stop watching 24, mainly cuz I want 2 make sure every1 remembers Renee, & that Jack annihilates the right idiots. I hope no1 4gets her. I won’t.
