Time’s up for another cast member on on FOX’s hit show 24. In a shocking twist on the last night’s show, former FBI agent Renee Walker and Jack’s new love interest, played by Annie Wersching was killed by sniper fire. Annie stops by “Good Day LA” to talk about her character’s untimely death and shares what’s next for her.

Good Day LA: Annie Wersching’s character, former FBI Agent Renee Walker was in Jack’s apartment. Just getting out of bed, and you know what happens. [Renee Walker shot by sniper clip plays] You alright, you okay?
Annie Wersching: Yes, yes. *laughs*
Good Day LA: So the day after you shot this, what did you find out?
Annie Wersching: Uh, that this little bugger is on the way.
Good Day LA: Next day she finds out. Oh my god, congratulations.
Annie Wersching: Thank you.
Good Day LA: How far along, can you say, or?
Annie Wersching: Uh, due in August.
Good Day LA: You look amazing!
Annie Wersching: Thank you.
Good Day LA: And this is your first? Congrats. Do you know what you’re having or no?
Annie Wersching: We found out but we’re gonna keep it a secret.
Good Day LA: Isn’t it exciting? Your whole body goes through all these changes, you’re getting Boobs LaRoo, Gut McGoo I used to call it… (Picture of Stephen Full on-screen) Is that the father?
Annie Wersching: Yes!
Good Day LA: Boy, does he look evil. Let me ask you something, was this a one-nighter with a bachelor? Hey, I was just reading about you, and you can read about you, I think you’re in Us Weekly talking about being pregnant and your kiss before dying. Ok, you’re here somewhere. You all talk and I’ll find it for you. She already knows what she said, why don’t you tell us. Dorothy, Dorothy she’s actually here, she can tell us.
Annie Wersching: I haven’t seen it.
Good Day LA: You said that you and Kiefer are better at killing people than…
Annie Wersching: Yeah, the kissing was strange. It’s like making out with a good friend of yours. You know? It happens every day in here, right? *laughs*
Good Day LA: It’s just part of the job that we make out with Steve. Wait, you make out with him too? When you do something like that as an actor, what if you don’t like the guy and he smokes? It’s called acting, Steve.
Annie Wersching: Well, Kiefer does smoke quite a bit! Umm, I guess you pop him some mints here and there?
Good Day LA: Of course you do. Do you have any here that I can hand out right now? Your husband is an actor too, so you guys kinda get it. You get it. One time my husband did a commercial with this hot blonde on video, and they had to make out. And I always thought, I was told, when you were acting that you don’t do the tongue. But they used tongue. And he was like “of course we do, it’s realistic”, how do you get, it’s kinda weirded out…
Annie Wersching: You hope to make it look realistic and somewhat sexy, at least a little bit.
Good Day LA: So was there tongue? You and Kiefer?
Annie Wersching: I don’t even remember, probably! *laughs*
Good Day LA: Now you knew you were getting killed off this season.
Annie Wersching: You know, I have been keeping this secret, not only did I know at the beginning of this season, but I finished my last episode at Christmas. So I’ve been talking in circles in interviews for like three months.
Good Day LA: Oh, that’s gotta get hard. I have an odd question – are you really dead in this thing?
Annie Wersching: There’s a few theories that maybe not… But I’m pretty dead. *laughs*
Good Day LA: Tell us about, what’d you do with the guys thumb?
Annie Wersching: Oh, his thumb? I had just chopped it off. It happens. You know? He was not a nice man!
Good Day LA: I would like to chop body parts off this guy right here, but I can’t.
Annie Wersching: I stabbed him in the eye. It’s been a big season.
Good Day LA: Yeah. You’re busy. So what’s next for you now?
Annie Wersching: Well, first this.
Good Day LA: Baby. That’s a big production.
Annie Wersching: It’s a pretty big production, and um… Then I don’t know. I mean I just like to work, so I’m just ready for whatever’s next.
Good Day LA: I don’t believe you now. You’re good at keeping a secret. He thinks you’re talking in circles again. He thinks you’re not really pregnant *laughs*
Annie Wersching: Right, yes. 24 movie’s coming up, I don’t think Renee’s gonna be in that…
Good Day LA: You guys had a good chemistry. Or had.
Annie Wersching: I know, a lot of fans are really bummed. Really upset.
Good Day LA: Not many women can keep up with Jack.
Annie Wersching: That’s true, that’s true. I was pretty–
Good Day LA: Is it difficult when you play a role that strong, not to be looked at only that way by casting people.
Annie Wersching: Um, yeah, a little bit. It’ll be interesting to see what comes of this for me now after that role, but usually when people meet me they’re like can’t believe that I would be so…
Good Day LA: Romantic comedies. I mean screwball comedies, right? I could totally see you in a romantic comedy. Yeah, yeah.
Annie Wersching: Yeah. So, we’ll see.
Good Day LA: And as an actor, isn’t it nice to have that diversity, to be able to play that woman on 24 but also –
Annie Wersching: It is, it is. I’m really happy to have spent 2 or 3 years in a role this tough, all the action and stuff.
Good Day LA: Do you think you can do entertainment news?
Annie Wersching: I… uhh… Maybe.
Good Day LA: It’s way beneath you. Here’s what you have to do, it’s not easy. You have to open a magazine and then repeat it. Or you can do weather?
Annie Wersching: Weather looks hard. You have to like no where to point.
Good Day LA: Yeah, oh, so hard! Alright, so, we think this is your swan song. But now you can change your hair color and…
Annie Wersching: I know! I’m very excited about that.
