Annie Wersching in Cold Case – Haven’t Been Much Of A Mother

Annie Wersching in Cold Case. Libby Bradley sits down with her daughter to discuss the events of last night. Libby apologizes to Helen for her behavior over the last few months, saying she hasn’t been much of a mother and promises things will change.

Libby Bradley: We need to talk about last night, Helen.
Helen Bradley: I don’t wanna talk to you.
Libby Bradley: How about I talk, you just listen, okay? I’m sorry for how I’ve acted these last few months. I haven’t been much of a mother to you.
Helen Bradley: I don’t care, mom.
Libby Bradley: Helen, please. Just listen, okay? All my life, I’ve been somebodies daughter or wife. Always someone else’s somebody. I never had the chance to just be me. But what you did last night made me realize what is truly important to me – you. I don’t need a man, but I need my little girl.
Helen Bradley: You can’t act like that anymore. You’re the grown-ups, not us.
Libby Bradley: I promise you, things are gonna change.
Helen Bradley: I just want my mom back. (cries)
Libby Bradley: I’m right here.
Helen Bradley: I just need to be alone, okay?
Libby Bradley: You are my once-in-a-lifetime.
Helen Bradley: I don’t even know what that means.
Libby Bradley: You will. (Takes her jacket and leaves the house)

I love the performance that Annie put on in Cold Case. It had a lot of complexity on it.
